Her ballet/tap
combo class
will be having
a recital in June.
She was so excited
to get her pretty
pink tutu
today.
Whilst doing laundry
she was asked
to find the matches.
She was so proud
of herself
when she was done.
(I love socks, colorful one especially.
These are brand new from Costco.)

“look at my lily,”
she said as i climbed
the stairs
“i made her so pretty!”
she said as i looked
in awe at my white
dog.
her brown/black spots
covered in baby powder.
my dog looked
ghostly, and
so guilty.

We are not
sure what species
of lizard this guy is.
We found him near
our compost bin
partaking in flies.
His beautiful blue
belly and orange throat
made him stand out
from the usual
western whiptails
we find.
Day 167

She wanted
a pet,
but is not
ready for
a hamster
or rat.
She wanted
something
new to
celebrate
her eighth
birthday.
So we bought
a fish tank
and she
picked out
a dalmatian molly
to be her
new pet.
One fish is
lonely so
we also
bought some
white skirt tetras.
