she loses a friend,
someone from her class
moves to another state,
and i am left
feeling her pain.
only when i was little
it was us who moved far
from my friends.

in front of everyone

the vine covers
a large amount
of the garden
and finally
its blooms
have produced
an Armenian cucumber
(it is only about 2 inches long…
but hey! exciting nonetheless!)
