i spotted him
racing around
our yard,
i told everyone
and we watched him,
while i tried to get
a picture of him,
until he leaped
onto the wall
and was gone.

they practiced soccer
then ran with the dogs
who happily complied.

she climbs off the couch
and snuggles up
to her dog.

we caught
“horny toads“
quite easily
and
with regularity.
as an adult
seeing one is
a thing of wonder.
although
this guy lives at
my daughter’s school
we rarely see him.
