Day 402

at the doctor for a sore throat.
they made her wear a face mask
she got mad at me
for taking a picture
“don’t put it on your blog, mom”
she pleaded
but she knows that
i will anyway
(at least its not on the “other blog”)

Day 399

at her best pal’s
birthday bash
she rubbed her hair
with the balloon
until she had
one heck of a mohawk.
my little punk rock girl.

Day 398

we are downsizing
all of the kids toys
this castle is one of the
things they play with,
sometimes,
but are willing to part with.

Day 396

she had never seen lazy town
but this costume,
pink wig and sparkly pink dress
fit her,
and when she put them on,
she was transformed into
a rock star.

Day 394

one day we went
on an adventure
to down town mesa,
to visit the fiber factory
only its not open on
mondays
so we couldn’t buy yarn.
good way to save money.
(the big pink chair is right in front of the fiber factory)

Day 393

we started making
our own corn tortillas
they taste so much better
than store bought ones
she loves to make them
because she can do it
by herself.

Day 390

one day,
looking back at pictures of herself,
as a very small child,
she saw that long ago
she had converse.
“i’d like a pair of those
cool shoes, the black ones,”
she said.
days later at a thrift store
i wandered across these shoes.
all they needed were some
new laces
(she picked the neon green herself)
and suddenly,
she has the coolest shoes.
her sister told her
“you look like a rock star!”
with awe and admiration.

Day 388

after i took a few pictures,
she grabbed the camera,
and walked around taking
some of her own.

Day 387

um, yeah,
i only took two
pictures,
and this was the best one.
